provides a comprehensive service to museums and collectors in buying, selling and appraising important antique silver and works of art.
A former Executive Vice-President of Christies, he has thirty-five years experience in the silver world.
He has in recent years negotiated a number of important museum acquisitions, as well as curating several significant exhibitions.
He has written numerous books and articles. He served as Chairman of the Silver Society from 2002 to 2003 and from 2008 to 2011.
He is also a well-known lecturer and broadcaster who has been a regular on PBSs Antiques Roadshow since its inception. He recently
appeared in the BBC series Made in Britain. Look out for him this Easter in the forthcoming BBC2 programme
Pride and Prejudice: The Ball, where he works with the food historian Ivan Day to recreate the Netherfield Ball supper using silver,
