A Charles II bell
c. 1660
This bell is probably one of those hung from the canopy which covered the
new King Charles II in his coronation procession in 1661, and was apparently given to the Duke of Albemarle as a perquisite, or perk,
after the ceremony. Now in the Gans Collection.
