Christopher Hartop is a prolific author on decorative arts, architecture and the history of dining. His book The Huguenot Legacy: 1680–1760 was awarded the Huguenot Book Prize for 1997. Most recently he published The Classical Ideal: English Silver 1760–1840 and Norfolk Summer: Making The Go-Between. He has also written for Apollo, the Burlington Magazine, the Art Newspaper and Country Life, as well as publishing articles in a number of scholarly journals.
